About Coast Garden
Coast Garden is a weekend brunch tacos & mexican spot in Philadelphia, PA, with a welcoming feel and counter-service seating with reclaimed wood tables. The kitchen leans into tacos & mexican done well, milling their own flour in-house each morning.
The signature item to try first is the Al Pastor Burrito, which has earned a loyal following. The rest of the menu rounds it out with options like Carne Asada Tacos, Chips & Queso, Carnitas Bowl, plus rotating specials that change with the season. Portions are generous for the price point ($), and the kitchen is consistent — orders come out fast even when the place is full.
On a typical day you'll find couples on date night and groups celebrating birthdays, especially around the lunch and dinner rushes. The bar pours craft sodas, local kombucha on tap, and house-brewed iced tea. Most dishes can be made dairy-free on request. The dining room is clean, the music is at a reasonable volume, and the wifi works.
For ordering, you can text ahead to skip the line during the lunch rush. The price-to-quality ratio is what brings most people back a second time. Whether you're new to Philadelphia or a longtime resident hunting for a reliable tacos & mexican fix, Coast Garden earns a spot in the regular rotation.

I work nearby and stop in at least twice a week. The Elote hits every time. Service is quick, the space is clean, and they take dietary requests seriously which I appreciate. Easy five stars from me.
Coast Garden has become my regular weekday lunch. Consistent quality, generous portions, and the staff has started to recognize me. I usually grab the Al Pastor Burrito but I've worked through most of the menu and haven't had a miss yet.
Mixed feelings. The Carne Asada Tacos was excellent and the cashier was friendly, but my side came out cold and they were out of two of the things I wanted to order. Probably worth another try, but not the experience I was hoping for.
Honestly impressed. We tried three different items between the table and the Elote stole the show. The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy being there which makes a difference. Cannot recommend enough.
Came here on a whim during my lunch break and I'm hooked. The Chips & Queso was easily the best version I've had this year. Friendly staff, fast service, and they actually got my order right the first time. Will be back next week.
Brought the family on a Saturday and we all walked out happy. Kids loved their food, my partner ordered the Carnitas Bowl and finished every bite. Prices feel fair for the portions. The dining room was a little loud but that's expected on weekends.
