About Holy Parlor
Holy Parlor is a beloved neighborhood tacos & mexican spot in San Francisco, CA, with a bright feel and a sunlit dining room with banquettes along one wall. The kitchen leans into tacos & mexican done well, smoking their meats in a custom offset pit out back.
The signature item to try first is the Carnitas Bowl, which has earned a loyal following. The rest of the menu rounds it out with options like Carne Asada Tacos, Al Pastor Burrito, Chips & Queso, plus rotating specials that change with the season. Portions are generous for the price point ($), and the kitchen is consistent — orders come out fast even when the place is full.
On a typical day you'll find a steady mix of office workers, students, and curious tourists, especially around the lunch and dinner rushes. The bar pours old-school fountain drinks, hand-spun shakes, and bottled root beer. Most dishes can be made dairy-free on request. The dining room is clean, the music is at a reasonable volume, and the wifi works.
For ordering, you can text ahead to skip the line during the lunch rush. The price-to-quality ratio is what brings most people back a second time. Whether you're new to San Francisco or a longtime resident hunting for a reliable tacos & mexican fix, Holy Parlor earns a spot in the regular rotation.

Brought the family on a Saturday and we all walked out happy. Kids loved their food, my partner ordered the Elote and finished every bite. Prices feel fair for the portions. The dining room was a little loud but that's expected on weekends.
Mixed feelings. The Carne Asada Tacos was excellent and the cashier was friendly, but my side came out cold and they were out of two of the things I wanted to order. Probably worth another try, but not the experience I was hoping for.
Honestly impressed. We tried three different items between the table and the Fish Tacos stole the show. The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy being there which makes a difference. Cannot recommend enough.
Came here on a whim during my lunch break and I'm hooked. The Fish Tacos was easily the best version I've had this year. Friendly staff, fast service, and they actually got my order right the first time. Will be back next week.
Hidden gem. We were in the neighborhood for an appointment and stopped here based on a friend's recommendation. So glad we did. The Carnitas Bowl was unreal — clearly made with care. We're already planning our next visit.
