About Spruce Eatery
Spruce Eatery is a family-favorite asian fusion spot in Boston, MA, with a bright feel and a sunlit dining room with banquettes along one wall. The kitchen leans into asian fusion done well, milling their own flour in-house each morning.
The signature item to try first is the General Tso's Chicken, which has earned a loyal following. The rest of the menu rounds it out with options like Pad Thai, Pho, Korean Bibimbap, plus rotating specials that change with the season. Portions are generous for the price point ($$$), and the kitchen is consistent — orders come out fast even when the place is full.
On a typical day you'll find a steady mix of office workers, students, and curious tourists, especially around the lunch and dinner rushes. The bar pours specialty espresso drinks, drip coffee, and seasonal lattes. There is a thoughtful vegan section that goes well beyond just a salad. The dining room is clean, the music is at a reasonable volume, and the wifi works.
For ordering, the takeout window stays open even when the dining room is at capacity. The price-to-quality ratio is what brings most people back a second time. Whether you're new to Boston or a longtime resident hunting for a reliable asian fusion fix, Spruce Eatery earns a spot in the regular rotation.

Hidden gem. We were in the neighborhood for an appointment and stopped here based on a friend's recommendation. So glad we did. The Pad Thai was unreal — clearly made with care. We're already planning our next visit.
Honestly impressed. We tried three different items between the table and the Korean Bibimbap stole the show. The staff genuinely seemed to enjoy being there which makes a difference. Cannot recommend enough.
I work nearby and stop in at least twice a week. The Banh Mi hits every time. Service is quick, the space is clean, and they take dietary requests seriously which I appreciate. Easy five stars from me.
Spruce Eatery has become my regular weekday lunch. Consistent quality, generous portions, and the staff has started to recognize me. I usually grab the Korean Bibimbap but I've worked through most of the menu and haven't had a miss yet.
